Trainer confirmed the instructions and stated that in the first part of the race the ride accorded with the instructions, but in the final 3f she felt that the rider had let the winner and the second placed runners get too far ahead.

It was simply a poorly judged ride and in no way corrupt

Trainer threw her under the bus. And the damage was done in the early part of the race. If she followed the instructions, then it was the trainer's fault.

As per the original thread, I'd say the jockey rode to the instructions perfectly. But it doesn't account for amateur races where the pace very often has no relation to the race distance or conditions. The jockey didn't have the capability to adapt to the fact that the jockeys she was riding with had no idea they were just trotting around Catterick.
This is not worth a severe penalty, it's not worth any penalty, as they are amateurs. The trainer should have had her back, but she chose to save herself. |
