You know when they put lots of races on the tv , they must be hard races, they don’t put them on for punters to win, the bookies pay itv for the races they want to be shown ie the hardest, it’s pay zero for the racing

It's not 'these days', it's these years. It may be getting worse, but it hasn't suddenly become difficult. Work it out for yourselves if they can get results in condition races then the million handicaps are not going to be that tricky. Of course the sport - like bookmakers - don't want punters to win.

They took it too far not letting punters win on the big days now trainers turning up for big pots with their horses not anywhere near ready to win.

Had 2 small bets today then bailed out, most of the races were like a lottery

.... Extreme heat is a leveller, distorting the Markets, obviously some horses take to the heat and ground conditions better than others, laying odds on favourites makes sense in these conditions. ( no I didnt lay any horses Today ) Happy just my take on it.

Thanks mate, you too.

Moore is a such a trickster no mention of this horse in his write up today, but after his win in Ireland last time he was full of praise, saying its form gave him a chance in the Jubilee.

Was shortened with the books, only him and the fav being punted. He did the family a fav today keeping quiet, they must of had their money on.

I don’t look at the exchange on the day what was matched but must of had money was 11/1 at the off.

Take it easy.

Ok Reg, I’m open to anyone doing the same and asking, don’t get it right a lot, that’s no lie. I don’t bet much and can wait until things seem out of line.

Dela, I'm only kidding
I haven't listened to tips for years, used to get some decent inside info from stables through mates who were owners, mainly jumps yards in the 80s and 90s
But now just do a bit of studying, look for "ricks" in the place markets
Only play medium size bets compared to some on here
And have a right go on the placepots every day, which a lot of people think is a mugs bet because of the tote takeout, but...

Thanks John Happy

and fair enough Reg, I don’t get any info, read lots, look and don’t listen to journos!

I knew a fella who won the scoop 6, he loved the place pots too. Whatever floats your boat.

Some talk stakes, I talk in prices and as Foyles has shown, never be scared of a price Wink

Having played the placepots for 30 years they are becoming almost impossible to bet in, big meetings and adverse weather now the only time worth playing.

Foyles is a good judge
He thinks a 10s shot is a skinny one

Pauly, some days/meetings are definitely better than others
It's more the field size, make up of the races regarding favs etc ,which you generally want out that determines how I play
I'm not looking to get up the small dividends, rather a smaller bit of the bigger ones

Reg, play similar to you normally hundreds of lines low stakes, 10 years ago, common to hit 2 or 3 a day, usually peanuts, but occasionally ok, last 2 years absolute minefield, im sure if i spent enough time analyzing results there would be money to be made somewhere, but just cant put my finger on it, and its a shame because when i did the pots daily i usually watched all the days racing and spotted a few for a later date, thats on the wain, im sure the tote seeding is fckin it up somewhere, but also trainers doing their job and getting horses ready for 1 or 2 days a year and the formbook being irrelevant for huge swathes of the season, its tougher now than its ever been.

Why is there so little money in JACKPOTS

Too expensive to perm.

All pools should have a 5p minimum perm stake and a 50p minimum bet. You'd get a lot more interest then.
