How many horses trained by Graffard have been retired this season after their exertions on a racetrack? How many of these are owned by The Aga Khan?

It makes you wonder and I thought the same Impossible, there was also Zayida who was to be their runner in the Prix Diane.
Last year his main hope for that Abudon Park suffered a bad one on the gallops, but different owners.
It makes me think twice about backing any of theirs especially the fillies because they are packed off quickly to the stud farm.

With the trials having been run I thought I’d look at some of the Stats.
First up was time between races with those having run recently and those who’ll come in from a longer lay off.
Last Run – 8/12 winners won on their last run before the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, 10/12 winners at least placed on their last run, 10/12 winners had their last run within the last 38 days
Those who unless things change come in from longer than 38 days are:

Minnie Hauk - 45 20/1
Two winners have broken the 38 day gap trend so it can obviously been done so next week look at the other trends.

Delashay 24/7 365 on here trolling must be a really fulfilling existence but I suppose you have each other when not in playgrounds with 11 year old kids, glad my grandchildren are safe from you.

Tommy twaddle. Just to help the grinning one out. Daryz has won an Arc, and is virtually unbeaten when he hasn't left the country, including several impressive wins. Maltese Cross has fallen over the line several times, won a bun fight of a Grand Prix, and beat a horse who hasn't won all season in the Great Voltigeur. I think he tries to become the first horse since Alleged to do the Great Voltigeur/Arc double in the same season. He owes his market position to the lack of quality which pretty much sums up a very flat season.

@ a little past 10 am today baldy have pushed the AGA 3yr old to 16’s the second time recently that they’ve eased him.

I watched back last years Arc a few days back, I’d recommend anyone who’s backed Kalpana to do so too.
Both horse ran unplaced for the first time there, Buick rode a stinker aboard the Fabre 3yr old QualityCar but I couldn’t see any excuse for Kalpana?
The one thing that may have been a thumbs down was that she was ridden too wide perhaps? Too wide, too prominent?
But when let down she didn’t find much and was caught easily by Sosie. She only has half a furlong of kick, so if she’s drawn wide I’d hold no hope. She’d need to be handy and hope that she can hold on after taking a 1L or two out of those behind.

I’m guessing Sunly could come back next year if kept in training as Kalpana was. For me she deserves to run here on her effect in the Vermille and the GP SAint Cloud.

If AOB / Coolmore charges stood their ground I'd think Moore would go for Diamond Necklace. she's the one with the most potential, if one dismissed her last run given the soft ground and her trainer possibly a touch complacent with her prep.
This could be the year for one of the Japanese horses to creep in for pole position, I think. The ground could be very different, and the usual optimism and expectation of previous years have been non-existent so far.
But, Wednesday's final declaration and Thursday's stall draws are pivotal for the betting market and fates of the principals.

Soumi opted to ride for Scott in the Irish Champion on Wimbledon Hawkeye, having ridden for AoB during the same meeting. it’s massive that he’s deserted that horse.

I backed DN before her eclipse in The Romanet at 8/1. This was after the injury to Behrayna. I'd also backed Maltese Cross at 7/1. Hopefully, one of these two silver bullets would hit the bulls eye.

update or two - are we gonna get a Tony Bin year when he chinned Mtoto in 1988 and it was
officially described as good to firm? I think that was the last time I recall the 'F' word in
the ground...though French reports are often totally wrong.

Getting Diamond beat at Deauville got them the better price, I hope you get a run as they are indicating. We’ll see if the fillies are better than the colts in the 3 year old division.

It for me is intriguing that he’s secured both Boudout and Soumi for either Minnie or Ben respectively. You can’t be displeased with say Boudout getting in her. He’s been riding very well, quite ruthless since his comeback.
There a few question marks about a few of these and I’m not sure the Gerry should be seen as the rag, he was in front of Gialevetto on ground last time which was too quick for him. The horse he beat Kaplana is 8/1 and the rag 100/1!
He may want more rain but good will be ok and I think that the market has got quite a few of these wrong.
