It Impossible but even more so that that bookie pushed her to 50/1 last night before removing her.
I hope mainly hope for her well being, as I’ve said, I thought that she was special, crying out for a strong truly ran race.

I’d been taken by her and not many horses have done that with the potential to improve this year, there’s maybe one other but I don’t know where he’s going yet.
Constituion Hill did after Chester but I’ve been underwhelmed by his last two runs. Even going into the Eclipse AOB was building him up saying today I hope that you’ll see what we’ve seen at home. He only beat a Boy Named Susie 1 length extra.

"Constitution Hill" is still in his shed. He's not set foot in a horseracing arena in spite of his voice box alluded to otherwise.
A Boy Named Susie? A perennial over-ran? I think AOB and Coolmore are scraping the barrel to think Con River is a superstar. Their opinions about City Of Troy, Auguste Rodin, The Lion In Winter, Luxembourg, High Definition, Mogul, etc, were so off the mark even that gypsy resident at the Epsom Derby would have done better.

Delashay 05 Aug 26 22:43 Unfortunately looks like Beyhrana has had a set back she’s out to 40 and been removed by the high street firms. Lucky I was able to cash that out before the news broke.
Ricardo says he has no knowledge of the cash out.

Lets be honest here..the real tards on a horse racing discussiom forum here are the likes of Rico..Uptheirons..Saddo ..Kenbo to name a few who dont offer up any opinions about horses or discussions re. horses but just post abuse about other forumites like Deli or Toby whoever who do happen to post an opinion on horse racing.Sure I come on to complain about bad rides etc but at least its an opine on horse racing etc not just abusing other forumites who happen to want to discuss god forbid something in relation to horse racing rather than ridicile peope with post your bets ta and pure vile abuse...in my opinion these are the people who have ruined the forum as a place to discuss racing. Should be more posts akin to Foyleswar s posts but generally when others do it descends into mindless abuse from the usual cohorts..just my opinion...

You’re welcome, it seems so odd that there’s no one asking why she’s been removed from the betting.
The result of the 12:18 at Deauville today makes it even more frustrating because form-lines are there that suggest that over the intermediate distance the French fillies are better than the French colts.
The race was won by Mazzala
He’d beaten another Wertheimer & Frere colt called Mature
These are the lines for Mature:
3/7 btn 2½L Dolmalan 9-0 (beaten 3L by Constitution River in the JC)
5/7 btn 4¼L Pink Panthera 8-11
5/7 btn 2½L Mazzala 9-
I kick myself for missing that today @ 18/1 on those lines, but was busy.

I hope Behrayna makes it. She'd be a serious contender in this. At the moment I've nothing doing until the St Leger and Gold Cup in March 2027. The Champions Day at Ascot in October is too iffy given the probable softish ground.

Thanks Lester, it’s terrible that there’s been no word from connections, with two days racing at Deauville this weekend.
They have gone down in my estimation even further after how they treated Rouget.

Behrayna Done For The Year After Setback; Retirement Possible
Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 3:04 pm | Back to: Europe, Shared News Europe Updated: August 8, 2026 at 3:08 pm
Unbeaten in four starts, the multiple group winner Behrayna (Sea The Moon) has sustained a setback and is likely to be retired, Jour de Galop reported on Saturday.
The Aga Khan Studs-bred filly won at ParisLongchamp at first asking in April, before adding the Listed Prix de la Seine and G3 Prix de Royaumont, both in May. In her latest start, she was victorious in the G2 Prix de Malleret for Francis-Henri Graffard.
Nemone Routh, racing manager for the Aga Khan Studs, told the publication, “She encountered a problem after her last race, and it is certain she will not race again this year. We are even seriously considering ending her career.
“It is a shame, because we know she possesses great quality and could have been a Group 1 filly. At home, she works with very good horses, but her confirmation is not exactly straightforward. She is a big filly–with plenty of height and substance–and she is also very game.â€
Out of the placed mare Behnasa (Dansili), Behrayna is a half-sister to the stakes-placed Kitten's Joy gelding Behtar, as well as Waldgeist's Listed Prix Madame Jean Couturie third Benamira. Behnasa, a half-sister to G1 Grand Prix de Paris hero and sire Behkabad, was sold in foal to Vadeni to Atlas Bloodstock for €45,000 during the 2024 Arqana Vente d'Elevage.
“I think the effort required during her last run, on fast ground, may have taken its toll given her physique. The Princess [Zahra] is, first and foremost, a breeder. The filly's dam has been sold, and we have only one sister left from this family, so there is no question of taking any risks with Behrayna.
“She is lovely, very honest, and we know the quality she possesses. It is therefore quite likely that we will not see her race again.â€

Remember I’d told you that she worked with Calandagan? They knew what they had and she too is too valuable like Zayida to race again, they are a farm.

I think Princess Zahra may not be too pleased with her trainer F Graffard. If it's true the horse's exertion on firm going last time has done the damage, it's twice now F Graffard has made the wrong decision to run a very good horse and another with huge potential on unsuitable ground.
Back to the drawing board for me. Maybe a selection post the ARC trials next month.

It may not be a direct coloration to what’s seen on the treacle, but he uses it as a guide with his younger horses, the work that Daryz did with him encouraged them to go for the Arc last year.

Coloration tends to change as horses get older, particularly greys. Surprising that a self proclaimed artist would not know the difference between coloration and correlation? Mind you one that adds plagiarism to his palette is always going to be suspect?

I’m not here for petty squabbles with those who have no option but one about me.
notes Nemone Routh, director of the Aga Khan Studs. Mickaël (Barzalona) told us that as soon as he asked her, she had really accelerated, and that when she found her rhythm, she wouldn’t stop. She is very pleasant, goes into all terrains and has a lot of class," concluded our interlocutor about the one who had recently worked with Calandagan and Daryzan.
Think that the work might have influenced them to run a once raced colt Ina Group 1 on his second start?
By the way I’m know for my unique use of colour.

Varindar is entered for the Chaudenay 1m 7f on Arc Weekend, he too worked with her and Calandagan I’d say they know what they have and as certain bookies had kept her onside and knew of the setback before others they obviously knew too.

She’s the only one that’s admitted to backing her, the rest keep stum, she got 20/1 which is fair enough @ 8/1 no thanks.
There’s a few questions to be asked, who will AOB send?
Who would people think would be more suited to running or likely to run, River or Necklace?

I would have preferred Kalpana to go straight to the Arc. But the York race still gives her time.
I can't see Coolmore running Constitution myself. It has not been the way they do things with their 3 year old colts for a while now. Hoping they run Diamond Necklace and I think she will more likely of the two. But the Opera is also an option.

There could be a change in their thinking this year if Constitution River wins the International, if he did and then won the Arc it would be straight to stud duties as a son of Wootton Bassett would be a bloodline they will covet. The most obvious though would be Diamond Necklace getting all the allowances.

Cheers Brandy agree with the things that you’ve said there.
There’s more races that you take in the less likely a target it seems, take Estrange they have pulled out of the Yorkshire Oaks because they have their G1 and want to target Longchamp this year. I don’t like when connections want to go pot hunting along the way.
What bothers me, is Gialvetto beat Kaplana twice, once at Kempton, then at her track this year. Yet she’s said to have improved.
I asked on the KG thread if anyone wondered if Botti would have regretted not taking in that race?
The trouble is we know how good he is through Sosie and his runs in the Arc and Hong Kong last year.
Kaplana is an admirable mate but her one unplaced run came at Longchamp last year.

River has been given a new rating one which I find hard to believe, Necklace hasn’t had hers updated since Goodwood, so that’ll be interesting to see how they compare.
River now already has a rating that would place him in an Arc.

It’s been a day of updates about retired horses.
The racing manager also took the opportunity to give the latest news about Behrayna, who will no longer be seen in competition, and Dolmalan. “My assistants declared her as being at the end of her career in France at the France Galop site. She will not appeal; she is too valuable. She is a filly who is physically important and also very generous, so you shouldn’t take too many risks. We are still convinced that she is a group I filly, but we have already sold her mother, Behnasa, so we can’t take the slightest risk... Finally, Dolmalan has left Mikel Delzangles' stable because we sold him. He will continue his career in Hong Kong.â€
So Team Aga are putting all their eggs into the Daryz basket for the Arc, unless they try and run Daryzan who has less experience than Daryz had in entering last years race.

In the middle of August, as tradition dictates, the Deauville meeting is currently in full swing. But at Chantilly, the activity was just as intense on the slopes on Tuesday morning. Indeed, the winner of the last edition of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Gr.I), Daryz, who remains on a third place in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes (Gr.I), has made an impression on "the Eagles", as explained by Nemone Routh, who manages the interests of the Aga Khan Studs. “He did a good work on the grass. We are gently preparing his goal, which is the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Before that, he will start in the Prix Foy (Gr.II).

Yes he’d hinted at that after her last run, looked at the enteries not a lot there to tell us more. It’s not like she’s doing anything that she hasn’t done by wining that.
Today sees the 1:33 G2 D’Orno and rematch between Jockey Club 3rd and 7th Montreal & Daryzan.
Later (4:00) sees the unquoted QualityCar take on Leffard, Map Of Stars etc…
Graffard had this to say about his Even money colt today.
“Lately, I’ve wanted to start from scratch with him. Initially, I had planned to race the Listed on Sunday (the Prix Nureyev, editor’s note), but it really took off. The colt is very good and I hope he can take his revenge on Montreal, who had dominated him in the Jockey Club.â€
If they have back door Arc aspirations he needs to win today. He was due to take in a listed tomorrow so it’s interesting with his comment about his well being that he’s opted for tougher but more lucrative race today.

It is Brandy, as he doesn’t have much to find with Kalpana on that ST Cloud Run.
No Arc horse for the Aga there, though the fav and Montreal flopped the form of the JC still was franked by Pearled Majesty last time out when beating today’s winner the exposed Baroud.
Looks a poor race on first impression. But Boudout is schooling them all and riding really well since his return.

I hope at least 2 3 yr olds win the ARC trials. And, unless a 3 yr old colt or filly wins this yr's renewal the winner will not amount to much, in my opinion.

The filly that may usurp all could be from AOB / Coolmore however much I detest them ie Diamond Necklace. But, at the moment it's still too risky to back her if there is a change of plan, etc. I hate being conned by this lot of charlatans of horseracing.

The ground is going to play a massive part, there’s the horses who want soft and those who’ll take their chances if it’s firm.
I don’t think that Calandgan is the same horse and I’m looking to a less exposed type even older as an each way play. I don’t like having a bet in a race once I’ve had one and may regret it but I’ll do so for the interest.
I’d mentioned Fabre’s horse not being quoted and he’s ran another stinker today, he did last year at Deauville when beaten by the Japanese Alohi Ali.
Maybe it’s just not his track?
He and Kalpana both have one thing in common. That is that their only unplaced run was in the Arc, well before today that stat could be attached to him.
One was 8/1 the other 33/1.
I watched back last years Arc a few days back, I’d recommend anyone who’s backed Kalpana to do so too.
Both horse ran unplaced for the first time there, Buick rode a stinker aboard the Fabre 3yr old QualityCar but I couldn’t see any excuse for Kalpana?
The one thing that may have been a thumbs down was that she was ridden too wide perhaps? Too wide, too prominent?
But when let down she didn’t find much and was caught easily by Sosie. She only has half a furlong of kick, so if she’s drawn wide I’d hold no hope. She’d need to be handy and hope that she can hold on after taking a 1L or two out of those behind.

I do not fancy Kalpana however, I do hope the Balding clan would win this race. I've taken a chance with a £1 win double with Pierre on Tuesday at York.

I think the winner of The Voltigeur, Maltese Cross, will go for this race. Unless an outstanding 3 yr old surfaces in the ARC trials, this must be the race for Maltese Cross who gave 5lbs and a beating to Pierre Bonnard.

Con River will never go for this. It's just not in the dna of Coolmore.

I might give Minnie Hauk another chance in the Yorkshire Oaks tomorrow. The last time she was not ridden to achieve her best. She was a side dish - a facilitator for Ben - a slightly better plodder than Pierre. But, I bet AOB / Coolmore charges with big reservations.
