Derby form has been trashed on here, that must include the Irish version then too?
We have the Irish Oaks coming up, the Eclipse has been won, the GPDP will be soon and numerous races at Deauville.
Whoās everyone fancying this far out?!

A long shot Bay City Roller esp if the going is soft or worse. I do not fancy the older fillies or the Oaks winner. As for the 3 yr old colts none will be from AOB / Coolmore. I've forgotten the Derby winner already; Jan Brueghel is friendless. I hope he's being saved for this or money down the swanny.

Delashay 09 Jul 26 19:58 So itās that time of year when we can look at form and discuss the merits of those currently at the top of the market.Although as per i wont commit to a selleckshun i will copy and paste every trainer/jockey quote i see and when the result is known i will claim it as an advisory.

Not many defend their crown, and i am happy to look beyond last years winner and favourite, Daryz.
Constitution River is very likeable. He looks a horse who just does enough and keeps some back for himself. The trip should be no problem. But it is not normally the MO of Ballydoyle to send their best 3 year old colt to the Arc. Benvenuto will surely be their Breeders Cup horse. So there is a possibility Constitution River may come here, but the Irish Champion will be his main Autumn target.
I backed Diamond Necklace after her Pouliche victory for this, but i am not confident of her staying the trip, or even running here.
I prefer to back 3 year olds for this, so I have added Varandir to the portfolio (33/1) Bit of a gamble as they have the favourite, but he has a Grand Prix De Paris entry, so have taken a chance.

not everyones cup of tea backing this early but some big prices to be had and you havent got to put loads on at those prices and plenty of time to drip feed here and there with 10 ers and scores till the big day ,if they get there on the day in all likelyhood they will be shorter .

3 months out maybe too far for you. That is perfectly acceptable. Not a problem. No need to ruin the thread for people who are happy to discuss the race, though.

i also tend to favour 3yos and as alluded to quite often the frenchies are often underestimated by our firms /media ,odds compilers etc , for the french trainers the arc is the big one and many have this as the target all season building towards it , whereas coolmore and our trainers have champions day and the breeders cup races as the end of season goal ,not saying the brits cant or wont win it but i dont think its at top of their agenda .

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and glad that thereās some interest in it, despite not knowing the draw or going!
The negatives aside, itās not to early to look ahead, I recall reading Scott Burton (I think it was) last year on how the Grand Prix Saint - Cloud can have a bearing on the Arc.
It was a good reminder of how Youmzain had won it and then placed, the most unlucky Arc horse ever!
So Iād not put you off of any of your selections.
The trouble is one trainer having so many candidates, all mentioned above.
Waiting this morning to see the entries for one race in particular, The Prix De MALLERET.

if you can put the malleret entries up when they are known would be handy thanks ,yeah graff having loads of entries adds to the puzzle the thing is the 2 or 3 im interested in are all 33s plus and i have no qualms about backing so many this far out at those type of prices. have only backed 2 so far but will add a third soon.

Final decs and draw are tomorrow Dispatches beat Calandaganās sister Calista who franked the form next time out over 1m 4f so she will be a good test for BEHRAYNA.
I thought that they might be kept apart until the Vermille.

Alam has looked like heās been wanting this trip for some time, was finishing well in the Jockey Club, Delzangles said that he felt that he was a Group horse despite taking a few attempts to get off of the mark.
Formlines can can drawn and made to the fillies through the colt Regal Resolve who has been beaten by Alam and Pink Pantera. BEHRAYNA would have the beating of Diamond Necklace on that line.
PROXIMA DU CENTAUR Gives lines to both Dispatches and BEHRAYNA, albeit over 1m 2f and 1m 4f.

At the beginning of the year Graffard worked his 3 year olds with Caladgan, Varindar won the same race as Darayz, later that day Behranya won, given that theyād both worked with the multiple Group 1 winner that gave them confidence in her.
Daryzan also worked with him and the filly, which led them to pitching him into the Jockey Club after the one start.
I donāt know who came out on top during these works but there was talk of keeping the Behranya back for the autumn which sounded like a hint.
Graffard said of the unbeaten winner on Sky Sports Racing: "I'm very pleased, it was a logical entry after her winning debut. She has a bit of class this filly.
"She can really quicken and maintain this acceleration with a lot of strength so he (jockey) was very pleased with her." Graffard won the same Listed race 12 months ago with subsequent Prix de Royaumont winner Sunly and the same Chantilly race is among Behrayna's next options. The trainer said: "There are two routes possible, we either go to the Prix de Royaumont with her or we give it a go in a bigger target. "I always thought she was going to be my mile and a half filly, but Mikael said she will do the Prix de Diane no problem."
āShe's a lovely filly, we've always liked her and I have always wanted to step her up to a mile-and-a-half,ā revealed Francis Graffard. āShe showed me that I was right, as she can be a little bit off the bridle, and she needs plenty of time to get going. This filly has plenty of ability and is an exciting prospect. I'll need to see how she comes back from this, but we know soft ground will not be a problem. Either she stays in France for the [July 14 G2] Prix de Malleret [at ParisLongchamp], or I could give her plenty of time and focus on the autumn. I could maybe also have a look at the [G1] Irish Oaks with her.ā
Heās played down her turn of foot there above because heās also said that she has instant acceleration. Going be interesting seeing her vs Dispatches who is 3 from 4.

The clip above of BEHRAYNA beating Pink Pantera was on soft going, Pink needs quick ground so the distance between the pair may have been exaggerated. That being said Iām surprised that they are running her over the Classic distance as I thought that she was outstayed in the Prix Diane. Iām thinking that they are testing her with a view to Arc weekend, Arc or Opera, but obviously the ground might have gone for her then. I did read that they had an eye on the Arc but the Aga filly is more likely to stay and has proven it.
Her and Dispatches look the best two 3yr old fillies but as of yet theyāve not been tested at the top level.

Francis Graffardās charge proved them right, winning with ease and establishing herself as one of the most exciting fillies of the spring in French horse racing. Running to perfection, Behrayna didnāt have to dig deep to win, and the 2-length margin at the finish (over the brave Zlata) doesnāt necessarily reflect the difference in class between the two. The winner does indeed seem to be clearly a cut above.
āShe didnāt have the best run; she got off to a bit of a slow start, and we know itās never easy to make up ground on a track like Chantilly,ā noted Nemone Routh, director of the Aga Khan Studs. āMickaĆ«l (Barzalona) told us that as soon as he asked her to, she accelerated well, and that once she found her rhythm, she didnāt stop. Sheās a pleasure to ride, handles all types of terrain, and has a lot of class,ā concluded our interviewee regarding the mare who had recently trained with Calandagan and Daryzan. At one point, the Prix de Diane was an option for Behrayna before Zayida (winner on May 19 at Chantilly) established herself within the stable.
This is after her win in Prix de Royaumont https://www.facebook.com/jourdegalop/videos/prix-de-royaumont-gr3-chantillybehrayna-f3-sea-the-moon-reste-invaincue-en-sadju/4589833771251877/Francis Graffardās charge proved them right, winning with ease

Behrayna was racing over 1 1/2 F farther but hardly comparable form.

Mc I think and I canāt talk for him that Impossible meant in terms of style and potential?
Sure as said sheās not been tested yet but seems to have a great temperament.
Wouldnāt you all like to have seen the work with Calandagan? I know I would!
It was the work that Daryz did with him last year that tilted him towards the Arc.
Thereās a lady who posts the work occasionally, Iāll be keeping an eye out for any posts!
Impossible if itās a bog Bay City has to come into consideration, he seems like Cirrus in that heās able to swim as his Corrine used to say!

Rico thereās no need to carry it on, wipe the slate clean forget it, you have your opinion about me and made it clear.

You asked on your alternate thread when the draw is?
This year they wonāt be releasing that publicly until a day after itās been made, which sounds dodgy to me as someoneās bound to get a whiff of it.
So be interesting to see any price adjustments when itās been made.
