Having watched the Yorkshie Oaks a couple of times, I am coming down on the side of Kalpana.
I think that was a hell of a performance last week. I have her as the most likely winner at this stage, and 7/1 is cracking price.

Have you looked at her OR’s and compared them to this and last year? 
Her KG winning OR was 120 this year, heading into the Arc after being beaten by Botti’s G last year she was on 122.
Her last run is rated 125, 5lb better than anything this year, but only 3lb above her figure last year and the narrative after the KG was that she’d improved.
The OR’s don’t match that.

Ah fk it, on Sunday there’s a big race in Baden Baden, where Botti’s Giavellto goes.
Against him is a 3yr old called Bright Light, who has an Arc ambition.
He was catching Presscott’s mare Tiffany last time out with Tornado Alert in behind.
Whether this colt is fully wound up for this I don’t know?
But should the Godolphin colt win Saturday or run well then things or odds of 150/1 might look mad in the year of an open arc.
Out of interest Sadcrooks had him in at 100/1 but had the last time that I looked removed him from their market.
Whilst he was pushed out by other firms here has him the same @66/1
He’s stamina laden, loves soft and goes against another formline on Sunday.

If it’s soft the 7lb allowance could come in handy and he’ll stay the trip.
So whilst all eyes will be on Longchamp’s Arc Trials I’ll have one eye elsewhere as the Botti horse is a good yardstick having ran a very good 4th last year.

Moore has opted to ride Causeway (AOB) and Ethical Diamond (Mullins) - both market favs - in Kentucky on Saturday night rather than at Longchamp (Gstaad / Ben / Survie on Sunday afternoon. Can he make Longchamp on Sunday?

as delashay pointed out earlier on the thread the german form is starting to stack up and what with tiffany winning in america last night beating ethical diamond it looks decent form i have chucked a few quid on bright light on here at 220 down to 150 ,bright light was up against older horses and to finish just a head behind tiffany could turn out to be very decent form . good spot delashay.

I've rowed in with Maltese Cross. My last throw of the dice. I just cannot have Daryz for the shortie price and form of the last renewal victory. I still hope Diamond Necklace would come into the reckoning again, if she was truly under-cooked by her trainer.

Pink Panthera was 2nd behind Friendly Soul in The Vermielle. I'd imagine Behrayna would have won this had she not be injured in her last run.

I blame her trainer. He ought not to have run Behrayna on firm going. Otherwise, she'd probably have been a strong fancy now, if winning The Vermeille today.

I've got AP bets on Daryz 10s (after it won the Prix Ganay so well) and Kalpana 20s ew, and yesterday added Sunly and Varandir at 40s ew. Sunly looks like a horse that can run huge if it breaks and settles well and doesn't get bumped about in running.

other to make a move - they're often unsatisfactory affairs...like last year's Juddmonte where the rag of the field Birr Castle
was 25 lengths clear in the straight and he actually held on for third place, still beating a trio of multiple Group winners (even
at G1) who were a stone superior...meaning an obvious conclusion that the jockeys fcúkéd up!

reasons...and may include avoiding the 3yo colts over 12f - I really do believe he's wrong as she's not got the instant acceleration
of a much more versatile Daryz over 10f and she's always struck me as a 12f filly...fully evidence by that fantastic second in last
year's Arc which is a stand-out career best, and she was only just beaten!
She has a couple of pounds to find on that form with the favourite and I think she's every bit as good as last year but she hasn't
been allowed a proper opportunity to show that she's more effective over 12f on soft ground besides that disappointment in the Yorkshire

reasons...and may include avoiding the 3yo colts over 12f - I really do believe he's wrong as she's not got the instant acceleration
of a much more versatile Daryz over 10f and she's always struck me as a 12f filly...fully evidence by that fantastic second in last
year's Arc which is a stand-out career best, and she was only just beaten!
She has a couple of pounds to find on that form with the favourite and I think she's every bit as good as last year but she hasn't
been allowed a proper opportunity to show that she's more effective over 12f on soft ground besides that disappointment in the Yorkshire
Oaks, so I find that very easy to overlook.
