My phone internet is saying Farage has resigned his Clacton seat but will stand again for the same seat?
Am I seeing this correct?

He's pulling a "back me or sack me" stunt to make the by-election about him.  Quite clever in his usual  nacissistic way.

The media are hounding his family, it hasn't come out of thin air. He had to try something to put his stalkers back in their box.

They won't stop of course, but he had to try something.

Probably fair to assume that nobody else is going to engage in his farce by fielding a candidate.

Would be quite funny, given that he is trying to frame it as him agains "The Establishment" - if it ends up just him against Count Binface!Blush

Probably fair to assume that nobody else is going to engage in this election as they wouldn't retain their deposit.

Liberalists all over really, the whole point of this recent pile on is to trigger a by election. Farage saves them the trouble, and gives them the by election they want anyway. Chick chick chicken, the legacy parties can't run away fast enough.

What the heck is happening with British politics? A narcissist and complete newbie like Mr Farage can lead a Party, and entice senior Conservative MPs to join him. I do not think they are feeling proud of themselves now.

Has any turncoat MP been accepted back into their Party?
