The biggest issue with Buick in US Racing over the years is how slowly his horses get away from the stalls - Godolphin need to use the home based jockeys

Actually I think Buick,like Moore,usually rides well in the US (on turf),but that looked a very poor ride. Give Rosario credit though for stopping him get the lead.

To be fair Kenbo there is a lot of threads on how bad Buick is and as you know ive given him pelters for years as he really is so weak and a poor judge of pace and positioning he had two fierce odds on for Appleby this week that’s all he wins these days so be interesting now after those rides yesterday with Appleby and him on home turf at Newmarket from Thursday …Personally I don’t touch him at all but if things are gonna get better he needs to have a good three days at their main meeting but how many of his horses will be odds on.

Is there really ‘lots’ of threads on how bad Buick is, Dano? Obviously Mics ones don’t count. You seem to be the only other one I remember complaining about him.

That’s not really my point though. If you don’t rate a jockey then it’s ludicrous to back his mounts. Mics just sees he’s on a favourite and thinks he’s bound to win regardless what he thinks of him. He’s even more miffed then when it goes on to lose.

I just hope he’s backed Mexico to beat England. That would all but guarantee our place in the next round. Unfortunately England are faves so I doubt it!
