It's this bizarre scenario where he literally gets all of the bigger days. How about having this chancer doing Kempton last night for a change, and the much more informed Candelora doing Sandown today.

The production decision is baffling, producing a daily show normally means changing it up, not keeping it stale. Even if he was any good. I wouldn't want the same pundit doing all of the big days, whoever they are. But if they need to use the same person for all of the decent meetings, pick someone who is either easy to listen to, or informed (ideally, both!).

He brings to mind one of Arthur Daley quips,"There is always somebody worse off than yourself and we have just found him"

He probably was current in the 1990s and might have had interesting points back then, but time has moved on and he is now outdated and should be replaced by someone who is current in this century. 

Seems to be an issue with sky and rtv racing channels , the presenters appear to be given a job for life , whereas re punting ideas and methods become dated and presenters should be freshened up with new faces rather than having the same old faces spouting the same rhetoric for 30 years ...

Decent bloke, had his issues, bought his book , ok read, and scrapes a living off what he loves, the horses, give him a break, as for the has not done his homework comments, what a load of cobblers, the form book holds up on weekends and at big meetings, sometimes, rest of the week you need an edge not the formbook.

I've just given up my RTV Subscription citing Nevison and schoolboy Josh has the main reasons for cancelling.

Just not a good broadcaster. Regularly forgets what he has tipped, market expert that most of the time has no idea what is happening in the live markets, barely strings coherent sentences together, often day dreaming when they throw to him, often forgets to switch his mic back on. Yet for some reason, he still gets ALL the big gigs in the studio. If defies logic. As I said previously, even if he was best in class, the viewer wants a bit of variety, not the same voice and opinion covering every single decent meeting.

I've always liked Nevison, but he now looks and acts like someone who has the lights on but nobody's home.

I take pundits with a pinch of salt, it makes no difference to me what they put up really but someone should tell him to call it a day.

This is a sub channel where the full price is £29.98. Subscribers are definitely entitled to question their production decisions. I don't care for his tips, but anyone they put on a broadcast should be switched on, cogent and informed with their analysis. He continually trots out the line that he is not too interested in stakes races, just big field handicaps. So his analysis of the good no handicaps is forced, and quite evident.

Anyone is free to disagree with my observations, but that is not really supplied. All you get is that he is a good bloke, successful in the past and has a nice house. nine of which qualifies you to be a pundit on the premium racing channel for all of the major festivals. lol.

I'm not blaming Nev, he seems to enjoy collecting the money for little effort. Actually, complacency leads to the kind of mistakes and casual effort we see from him. Good on him. I am quite evidently pointing my ire squarely at the producers. It's not their only odd production choice, and I have criticised those, too.

The employment of Nevison along with many more seems to confirm to some of us that there's a ready made opening at Racing TV for anyone down on their luck so to speak,didn't Nevison reappear after Bodugi went bust?
Nobody ever seems to leave yet more & more faces seem to appear and it's a comfortable retirement home for ex jocks as long as your face fits,Jacob being the latest addition. I can only presume they're awash with money from their bookmaker friends?
