It's a mixture of 2 things really. As much as I would describe myself as a proud Englishman I am struggling to get involved in this World Cup. Football for me is not what it was, that could be down to my age (47) or the fact that as a sport it seems incredibly diluted to me now. Also aligned with the fact that I find "top level" football as exciting as a dentist's waiting room.
For me the sport has just turned into 22 robots playing to a system that is invariably dull as dishwater, VAR meaning you can't celebrate a goal without pausing for 5 mins and hoping they don't call for a review, as well as these hydration breaks that kill any sort of momentum and atmosphere.
I am a Bromley fan so have seen some average football over the years but I would take Non League football over the World Cup football every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
If they play like they did against Panama they will be heading home, no doubt about that.

Quansah was laying with his leg up yesterday, might not be playing at all.
It’s a shame Ben White got injured could have put in the crosses that were missing, he’s messed up not taking Shaw and Slab.
Gahie looked surprisingly slow last match

Spence didn’t seem with the team at the end when singing to the crowd not linking arms.
Read today that he’s converted and is the first to play for England, can’t be harmonious with the like of EZE, Sakka & Manduke, Rashford being Christian’s.

Always thought he had ‘tude when I saw him at Forrest, the German who manages Leeds said they got rid of him after his loan there because he had bad ways.

Do not start with Rashford, only as a sub. The bloke is inconsistent and easily disillusioned eg if the game is not going his way, he sulks, and he'd be a wasted player. Mr Tuchel made two excellent substitutions ie replacing Rashford and Madueke; Rashford was England negative; Madueke could not overcome adversary hence crosses were minimal.
England missed James.

Mexico not the fav, wow that’s priced wrong, haven’t lost in 13 years that stadium and it’s high altitude, but and it’s a big but, these 1 on 1 high pressure can go any way, but Mexico should be odds on but as we know it ain’t always that simple, will play in running

England don’t have a defence, that’s down to the manger, leaving Shaw and Slab, taking crocs. BUT and it is a big but they have shown fight to come back twice from behind in the face of defeat.
Should be a great clash because the Mexicans are all heart.
I recall seeing Ashley Cole sat in the sand in Cancun, pint in the sand with a cigar, we could do with him!

If you haven’t seen the Portugal vs Croatia game then check it out, one of the best in the tournament so far.
England did good to beat them as they did.

You’re right Frogger there’s a clip online where he has his hands out when Tooks was shouting at him.
He’s deffo not with the squad and there’s a bigger issue there that reflects the situation back here that Stammer spoke of, “The island of strangers.”

The Arsenal players have a group called the Bible Brothers, there’s a clash there in the squad which you could see when he wasn’t linking arms singing.

Arsenal’s group of ‘Bible Brothers’ is a “real blessing” as they support each other in the Christian faith, winger Noni Madueke has said.
Before each match, a group of ten footballers, including Madueke, Jurrien Timber and Bukayo Saka, meet to pray and read the Bible together.

Well Manduke was nearest to him and there was no solidarity there during the sing song.
Think he done the wrong thing taking him, not sure the shirt means that much to some.
Let’s hope alls well, enjoy raiding your sisters pill box!
