I believe it is a Chapman thing tbh,lot of racing people look uncomfortable when he approaches them, only put on a face because they are on camera….
Moore is certainly a different person in Ireland for sure….
Race goers will probably get his attention if sober and not in groups squawking over him…..
I was certainly taken aback yesterday…..

There is absolutely no chance of any Irish Presenters asking any "awkward" questions under any circumstances. Hardly surprising that get a more convivial reception,is it.

How many 'awkward' questions does he get asked in the UK? Chapman's mo is to waffle for a couple of minutes about what he thinks and about breeding, then will finally ask something. Or if its a trainer will tell them where the horse should be running next time instead of asking them. The rest ask 'how happy are you to win the biggest race in the World' and the like.

Yes,people who regularly watch JP's horses being "strangled" and say F/A,abba,unlike over here. AP threw his toys out of the pram when Skydia asked him about the ride on Get Me Out of Here at Ascot Those on the Irish Gravy Train never speak out

Ocean was asked awkward questions, along with his trainer. So now he completely boycotts rtv.
I feel the questioning was out of order, and virtue signalling. So the stance is understandable.
Are jockey interviews of any value whatsoever?

Cider I believe shoving a microphone up the nose of a jockey seconds after winning a race is a disgrace. He should be allowed enjoy the moment and take it all in. Equally owners should be given the same distance instead of a pundit (usually Chapman again) getting into position to pounce as soon as the horse crosses the line.

Yes, the irony of Chapman telling the jockey to take it all in, whilst being led back in from riding a Royal Ascot winner. He might be able to take it all in if he didn't have an oaf running alongside him, asking him elongated, inane questions.

Shouldn’t get near them until they speak to connections…..and only a matter of time before we hear objection from the clerk of the scales…..
Rider late due to some presenter talking P….

Every sport though isn't it. And if they say anything remotely interesting, or can be twisted, it's churned into click bait by the broadcaster. eg Saffie's initial reaction to the coronation.
