Why is he never off our TV screens? The guy has the brains of a gnat, he's boring and he's a doormat to his wife. Why the hell do the media keep pushing him.

I've always wondered about that. I can never forgive him for being sent off with that sissy kick on the Argentinian player, Simeone, whilst lying prostrate on the ground leaving England with 10 players.
And England did very well without him that game ! He is lauded for his late free kick goal against Greece. He had already had numerous attempts that missed, so I suppose one had to go in eventually. And it was largely due to him running around like a headless chicken that we needed a late goal in that game. I cant think of any other moment where he's gone beyond the norm in an England shirt

Not really interested in him since he retired from football but I can think of 20 similar retired sport stars who have much less nous than Beckham. When do you see him apart from in adverts?
