Yes not a good look reg, although he was rather ambushed by chapman there.

If he really thought the distance was too short and he wasn't fully wound up seems strange to cart the horse all the way up to Newcastle !

Just seen its only a 60 mile trip up to Newcastle so not as far as i thought.

Paborus often wins off a break. And then disappears for another long break so might be a tad fragile. This was his first run over 6f however so maybe Chappers should have asked about that. He is entered in the Minstrel and Lennox Stakes, both over his usual 7f.

So on trip grounds, yes this probably was a prep. On freshness grounds, entitled to win.

Plenty of horses win when not "expected".
