Big Mac is the answer. For all the good John McCririck did as a campaigning journalist, by the end his Jimmy Savile tribute act (silly costume and speaking almost entirely in catchphrases) was falling out of fashion and his increasingly right wing, misogynist schtick was actively driving people away from racing.

Do you think only left wing views should be allowed on tv? Serioius q.

I think politics can be left out of racing coverage.

Everything on tv has a left wing bias, including racing. Right wing views are simply
not allowed on any channel, despite there being millions of right wing viewers.
Women are perfectly capable of sticking up for themselves, without patronising blokes
sticking their oar in.

The problem was not patronising blokes sticking their oar in, it was advertisers walking away.
