Anyone who backed Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe hero Daryz over the defending champion Ombudsman at Ascot clearly missed the memo.
In a highly anticipated clash at the 2026 Prince of Wales's Stakes, Ombudsman thundered past the pack and romped to an emphatic four-length victory. The showdown, which headlined Day Two at Ascot solidified the 10-furlong star's status as a cut above the rest. Guided by jockey William Buick, the John and Thady Gosden-trained runner proved his electric turn of foot. Personally, anyone who thought Daryz could beat Ombudsman, doesn’t know schit from good music.  |
