Probably not. But as neither the Stewards, the racing media or the connections have proffered any excuse for Reaching High's 59 and a quarter length defeat racegoers and punters are just left wondering.
The horse pulled like an absolute train from the start, he was still pulling Ryan Moore's arms out before turning into the straight. Went out like a light when Moore asked for an effort.

Sorry, but you are missing the point of my thread. The points raised regarding the horses abscence and the fact that you peceive it to have pulled hard are valid, but in the circumstances I feel it was not unreasonable for the Stewards to have asked connections for their opinion on the horses poor performance. This is not uncommon. Occasional racegoers/ punters who are not as familiar with the sport as some of those on here might have benefited from a Stewards report posted on the official BHA site. Be lucky.

The BHA have today belatedly put out a stewards report regarding Reaching High. The reason given for the delay in posting the report was that they were awaiting further information. Ryan Moore stated that the horse ran too free. The Veterinary Officer examined the gelding post race and had nothing to report. This could, and should have been, announced on the day. Not 10 days after the race.
