I had the good fortune to be watching yesterday when Angus McNae said who was going to be on. When he mentioned Channing that was me giving it a miss.

He talks about the racing and gambling. Surely that is what we want to listen to. We've had half an hour of someone waffling on about absolutely NOTHING to do with racing.

I can tolerate Channing because as you say he talks about the subject

Don't mind Channing.

The only problem with Channing is his mundane tone....If he sounded less like Loyd Grossman I am sure he would far more interesting to many.

The biggest problem is his lack of knowledge on the subject. He is only there to try and suggest the sport isn't just for toffs.

For some reason my earlier post describing Channing as a P**k
has been deemed not appropriate by the moderator.

Channing went round the shops backing more thunder each way in the queen Anne. Nice to know there's still someone out there with a working brain and how to utilise the shops.

Channing been fighting gambling white paper.affordability checks for 5yr +
shredie winning poker player
shrewdies winning political punter
savy horse racing/sport punter,
if he  was a right winger, anti gambling white paper/affordability checks, poker playing,horse/sport betting ,people on here would be wanting him anointed ,as he,s considered a leftie/WOKIE type,he,s a hate figure instead,he,d take 90% + of peoples trouser,s  down on this forum without them even knowing, that's where we are today regards sticking label,s on people before we decide if they have anything decent to say/listen to

Clearly not the same planet as you bubbles thankfully. You clearly didn't watch the programme. Or are you gonna call channing a liar when he has no reason to.

Same as Clerkmore, nice to get a head's up that the show could be swerved today.

I get the feeling that the show has had its day to be fair.

Ironically enough 1sty, there's nothing wrong with people having liberalist opinions. It's the arrogant hypocrisy, it's permitted, in fact actively encouraged for liberalists to be very vocal 'lefty' opinions. When it was a Tory government barely a day went by without a sly dig at a pm, minister or government. For the last two years you'd have hardly noticed that there was a government, let alone a failing Labour one and a humiliated prime minister.

I try to tune in or catch,or catch  up later with the talking points, not really interested in any of the after timing back slapping of trainer, jocks etc etc from yesterday's or last weeks racing

as usual, the forum goons are wrong

i dont watch it but when i saw biancone and boylan were on i made an exception

it was excellent. biancone is a geezer and i like boylan(has he lost weight?). the surprise was the kiwi geezer who is just the sort of trainer we need but dont have, on both sides of the irish sea. serious but fun. they are not mutually exclusive

watch it and you will agree

we offer channing in his student slogan t shirts which is embarrassing but even he couldnt de-rail this one

Channing one of the few I can listen too, highly successful gambler/poker player, doesn't take himself too seriously and a really good dry sense of humour.

Each to their own isn't it, but in spite of the champagne socialism, citizen smith tribute act and 6th form politics, he isn't actually easy to listen to in my view either. In fact it's rather painful, and the 'talking points' when he is on ordinarily consists of him trying to talk over everyone in the room, including actual experts for the whole segment. Maybe he is a good poker player, maybe not, but it has little relevancy to horse racing.

It's another pattern I observe, so often the people who claim to obtain the majority of their via income betting (therefore pay zero tax on that income) are the first people in the q demanding the 'rich' pay more tax, the nhs needs even more money et al. But yup, in liberalist circles, rank hypocrisy is a badge of honour.

Busyfool, this is the problem with having the likes of channing and y8ts on. I've tried muting when they are speaking and toggling it when they aren't, but that is enormously tedious. So it puts you off the whole show when they are booked. I have it on series link so maybe I'll take a look based on the recommendation.

Has Mr Luck ever had Mr Gosden Sr on his show? I hope he does this weekend and asked the trainer about his statement on The Epsom Derby and the domination of Ballydoyle in the race annually recently.

Yes, lead on. Just £199 for his Ascot preview alone. And if the said service doesn't make you a profit during your sub, don't even dare ask for your money back. Just another clueless take out merchant.
