Absolutely disgusting. Huge late drift. Entitled to be bang there. Travelled and jumped ok and then pulled in a matter of seconds.

If bans aren't forthcoming it makes a mockery of the whole thing.

Following the race, Paddy Hanlon reported that HAWK'S ROCK (IRE) had lost its action and therefore felt it prudent to pull the gelding up; the Veterinary Office examined HAWK’S ROCK (IRE) during routine testing and reported that the gelding had been struck into on its right-hind.

I was at Southwell and Hawks Rock was a puzzle.

Drifted when it should not have done so on form.

It was pulled up very quickly after going really well and l thought the horse had lost its action. I had shied away from backing it because the drift was so extreme but still went around to watch it come in.

There was blood and an small injury to one of its legs, so it being pulled up was understandable.

BUT, the drift beforehamd was so noticeable and does lead punters to think it wasn't 'off'.

Hard to imagine that the leg injury did not occur in the race itself, but why that drift on a horse that was going so easily until the injury?
