Just wondering if anyone has come across this before. Backed Hickory Lad with Spoils. 60 secs AFTER the race they were offering me a cash out for slightly less than what I had due, even though the status clearly said 'WON'. Four minutes later the full amount was paid. What's all that about?

My guess would be that you might be tempted to take a slightly smaller amount for...
A...to take out of the equation a possible stewards inquiry, although probably pay double result anyway
B...more likely, if you had zero valance, to reinvest in the next race

Yeah Reg I was thinking something along the lines of the latter. I already had Ice Max and Sallaal backed with them so still surprised.

It's your responsibility not to take a lower cashout offer after your horse has already won.

Just out of interest ....

... how many times does he offer a higher one ??
