burke an even worse jockey than he is a commentator
By:
I still don’t understand how people think burkes a good jockey he’s average at best think he’s been shown up twice today, but I don’t think Owen’s horses are running great

By:
AF is a certified fruitcake.
By:
He was still better than Bowen, even though awful...

Says it all when you get out ridden from Charlie Hammond on a horse what jumped poorly
By:
Maybe, but the winner collected virtually every hurdle. AF remains a fruitcake, certainly not a horse that you can use to judge a jockey in my opinion. Hammond was very brave at the last, could have easily been leaving the course in an ambo, rather than going to the WE.

I agree with Cider
By:
he's riding them all the same way that horse jubilant that won the other night @ plumpton it looks brilliant when it comes off
but its negative EV riding style |
By:
I think it has to be put in context. The winner is another fruitcake but everyone knows how it goes, tears off. So you're not going to chase it. He got AF settled as you say, the winner was doing a lot and making bad mistakes. He had every right to wait. His horse found nothing and the winner found, loves the track, and as I allude to, flew the last after being thrown at it.

By:
His horse found nothing
were you watching on ceefax? |
By:
We have all seen what happens when AF tears off in front
By:
not what I'm advocating for
By:
The sectionals will likely show it was slowing if anything.
By:
nearly all horses are going slower at the end of races
By:
Wouldn't have been an issue if starter had done his job and started them 'together' at all...
By:
usually winners are slowing down slower than the others but AF will have the fastest closing split
By:
I wouldn't back that rajpot with stolen money, wonders.
By:
are you saying it found, and went slower?
By:
had a look back, winner was 30mph at the line
By:
you're the 1 using the term found
By:
touched 34-35 during the race, 34 entering the final bend.
By:
By:
that's right they're all slowing
By:
Yes I said he found nothing, you responded sarcastically, implying he did find a lot.
You also say he was slowing down for the finish. It's not a leap of faith to say that they can't both be true. |
By:
you imply what you want cider but you have just contradicted yourself with that post
By:
It's all context, like I say. The RU had a great trip. The winner did too much and made multiple mistakes.
In context, in my opinion, the winner found a lot more for pressure than the RU. |
By:
the winner "found" according to you & was slowing at the finish according to you
It's not a leap of faith to say that they can't both be true ![]() |
By:
The winner did too much and made multiple mistakes
this I agree with |
By:
I agree with that yes. I suppose I could be more explicit and say the winner found more for pressure than could have been expected. AF probably went pretty short.
I agree it is incongruent to say a horse finds for pressure when it is slowing down. But it can apply when it appears to have gone too fast, been too aggressively ridden and made lots of mistakes (in a jump race). |

By:
9/10 times you know those types are beat when they are still in front, as they just fall in a hole.
Another scenario for us to agree to disagree ;) |
By:
There is nothing wrong with that,Cider
