All credit to Rico then for 'coming out' via that 'Exchange commission & charges' screenshot back in December 2024.
Subtle or what, leaving that 4th tab open? ![]() |

I couldn’t care less for what anyone’s preference is, but I do care about justice and things being fair. I have standards and maybe wrongly expect others to have them too.

More chance of proving Nessie really exists than the gravy-trainer of the Racing Post replying to your post.

True!
It felt good to get it off my chest though! |

Looks like I can also brag too as I’ve lucked out! Just received this email :
Attention Dear Beneficiary This is Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), We are here to inform you that we have arrested the Criminals that is holding your funds for their selfish interest for long who has refused to release your 12.800,000.00 Million Euros and we urge you to respond if you're interested in receiving your fund with the below information by contacting the board of Deutsche Bank of Germany. ![]() |

I posted my opinion about a piece at RP written by him. However, I'd not remember precisely what though, possibly about a bookie or trainer. He did not take kindly to it instead, posted something far-fetched that was at the opposite end of the spectrum of my opinion.
Another journo with self-interest is Mr Mottshead. It took him many, many years to actually admit and write about bet restriction and account closure of recreational punters. This was before AC. |

Cracking that you did Impossible and I bet that he didn’t!
The portrait of the latter makes me laugh, so serious and forgets what he was when he started. Wins an award and it goes to the head! ![]() |

I might not have been a horseracing journo (my bil was a journo at the Guardian) but I've been a horseracing enthusiast since Shergar. As such, possessed more horsey and betting experiences than most at RP presently. Unlike most journos at RP I've never been a bookie gravy-trainer or gratuitously rewarded professionally by bookies with freebies or remunerations.
As such, I do not accord respect or kudos to the present lot of journos at the RP. They are mainly "tipsters" employed solely by bookies. As independent entities I firmly believe most would not have a pot to pee in given the selections they tipped. |

I agree with what you’ve said, interesting that you wrote for them and it was your job. My mum friends daughter works for them now.

They re just people who form their opinion, dosent mean they have to get it right,it’s just what they think.someone has to do it,or else there’d be nothing.

'Delashay', I've never written for The Guardian, my brother-in-law did. He was the editor of the computer section. Irony, is it not? Me being a non-techie.
'comingupthehill', I can fully understand that...if they were not disingenuous repeatedly. They always bat for the bookies and jockeys; totally oblivious about bet restriction and closure of accounts by bookies. They were "professionally" bribed by their paymasters, and wrote accordingly. no respect whatsoever. Those that have left and posted on this forum indicated the same too. |
|
By:
Impossible,disagree.
Their job is to promote racing, provide info, create interest, offer opinions. Just because ,some selections lose,or you think they’re wrong,is irrelevant. |
|
By:
Professional bribed by their paymasters,nonsense.
They equally have to give the bookies side of issues. It’s not the world and the post against the bookies. Without bookies,no industry. Moneysavingexpert, loved by everyone, believing he’s helping them, just advertised low rate credit cards or loans, the banks love him,he’s promoting products, but also helping customers. |
|
By:
Without bookies, no industry". Not necessarily...not this lot in the country. Pari-Mutuel, the Tote or Aussieland perhaps.
|
|
By:
Alright, without betting,so the post have to also put the betting side.
|
|
By:
'comingupthehill', I think it's pointless and a waste of time and boring for others to read given the gulf between us is too wide and insurmountable. As such each to his / her own. Good luck with your betting.
