There is to be no British comeback for the long-absent Eddie Ahern in 2024, who instead is to relaunch his riding career in Denmark in April, where he has accepted a job as stable jockey to trainer Bent Olsen.

Fodder should never forget most owners and riders see them as fools……

The Risen who was also in the news for the wrong reasons was once quoted (allegedly) punters are stupid….

A well known Irishman “ punters know nothing “

Well known Yorkshire trainer “ i couldn’t care less about punters “……

Dream on……

No doubt white socks will make an appearance…….

I was given nudge and wink by a well known Newmarket based “ don’t touch it,it won’t win “…….

It lost …..saved me a monkey……

I remember that race where he went off like a scolded cat, miles clear - oddly misjudged the pace on that one. He was a classic, even amongst the others of his ilk.

I remember him riding frequently for Gérard Butler (not the Scottish actor).
Butler was far from squeaky clean himself...I wonder whether they concocted any nefarious schemes together during their partnership...
