winners deffo won if mirror can be trusted..no eye how 2nd went 101.

the first freeze frame on rtv made it look like nearside. then they showed the slo mo, it flipped big. Another freeze frame then it went back closer to 50/50.

definitely the runner up traded sub 1.2 in the foto betting.

thought near side had got up live but on slow mo looked far side narrowly

yeah it was flying compared to the winner. if you take the optics of the closer together with the first freeze frame, easy to see why there were singed fingers.

That mirror image is fcked, the 2nd didn't have a noseband.

The photo is not at the same point as the freeze frame. Look at the #9 jock, completely different body posi.

I'd say the freeze is past the 'line'.

in the mirror the top horse (2nd with noseband) is an inch ahead..official print the lower in mirror has won an inch..now ive been a huge photo backer for many yrs and this never happens.

c'mon ffs how long ewe been watching racing? on the official print the jock on 3rd is higher up cos on freeze frame it still has a yd to go before and jockey is rising ,the image from mirror is recorded to the official print..

Mirror is misaligned, was happening consistently at Redcar a year or two ago.

Very well spotted on the jockey positions Cider - does make you wonder what shenanigans there are with photo tech - on th dogs it's a joke - you see them dragging the line back to call 2nd and 3rd so the places are not what what place you were at as you hit the line but the place you were in at the point winner has won - that's completely ludicrous and why there are some very odd place decisions on the dogs.

rico, you're looking at dark splodge A. That is not the nose of the second. Its nose is the tiny splodge B.

I'm not getting at you. The only reason I can see it that way is because on my Sky box I happened to stop the slow-mo a fraction further on, where you could see both noses clearly.

That's not how horse race photo finish prints work. They use strip photography which builds a print from thousands of vertical strips taken over time as the horses pass the finish line.

Not at all. I assumed that the image was a static image, not an unreasonable assumption. I've not had a chance to look into how it is produced. It doesn't impact betting, but I will be curious.

No, it's not. My p&l is irrelevant. Bulgaria and Ro were 1st and 2nd on the pv (1st and 3rd overall), and Greece nowhere. That is relevant. I've been putting winning bets up on specials on here for nearly 20 years and politics for 10 years. Exactly how much I make out of it is nobody else's business.
