open looking race , aob runs 2 fav christmas day  and 2nd fav action both have group race form and no suprise if any of the 2 wins but aiden hasnt been targeting this race lately last winning it in 2010 , morshdi is progressing well and could be anything but stepping up to group company , applebys are out of form for whatever reason but will come back but ? marks about his 2 i like a couple here at the prices and the gosdens are in good form and wise prince just the 2 runs won on debut and not disgraced stepped up to group company at sandown should improve and and a double figga price could go close here . also stablemate guildmaster  looks a big price imo debut winner then 3rd in a decent newmarket novice where he still looked green and didnt seem to handle the dip /track  ran well but this course may suit better doyle up and a big price .  as often happens after some decent results last month this month has been poor for me results wise like appleby im out of form dont shoot the massager  .
selections wise price 12/1 firms should be bigger on here ew & guildmaster 28/1  firms ew win places on here good luck.

in the 1980's you were not allowed to say Dante without the MECCA prefix

Just look at the photo on the post from the head on, both he and Action were primed, no need to be in the paddock

Gutted to miss a nice Balding winner. I went to Salisbury today so had to watch the Dante on a big screen with no commentary. I knew which one won thoughCry. I looked at the race this morning and was sure Item was a double figure price. Still had a good day with good old reliable Mr Freedom place only, Sea The Fire and Pierian and I didn't oppose Item. Orthodox was well backed and looked very professional for a FTO 2yo.

If you type his name into the search bar on the Racing Post all of his form comes up.
You can see by his post Dante runs, the answer is NO.

It seems like a lack of people willing to discuss the merits of a Derby trial sadly.

What are your thoughts Brandy,  do you see Item as good value at 5/1 which was the same price Pride Of  became after winning last year?

Both races leave questions for me, last year was a bunched finish with the Pacemaker Devils Advocate 80/1 remaining in 4 th not beaten far.

We can draw the same conclusion with this years race, no it wasn’t bunched because the field split, but apparent pace maker Action stayed on ahead of the others to fill the frame. That makes me question it.

What I will say though is that item is a horse despite not being a looker or talent as he’s put lengths between he and the rest on all three races. That’s rare.
3 1/2L , 3 1/2 , 2 3/4

I remember Nick Mordin wrote that a horse who does this is G1.
