After Rayevka ran in Dubai, Graffard decided to target her strictly at 5f races. Wink

Don’t be fooled by her 3rd in the Commonwealth Cup at Ascot last year over 6f.

Now they tell us!
Report Delashay May 10, 2026 11:52 AM BST
I’m shocked that smug Martin in the studio on ATR was making the draw as an excuse out there! Crazy

Also the Laurent didn’t mention this, maybe he didn’t want to clue him up! Laugh

Thanks Nemone for backing me up WinkLoveCool
Report Delashay May 10, 2026 12:00 PM BST
They are hoping that Rayif stays the mile according to Nemone and he’s second fav, sounds like Daryzan was their hope for the Guineas today but they couldn’t get him out in time.

Those with entries for the 7f Paul De Moussac which is a trial I believe for the Jean Pratt

KHOVIKHOV
Rayif
GOOD BYE MANU
Elastic
NIGHTTIME

Why is it of significance? Because the rest are seen as Jockey Club candidates and the French 2000 is a good trial for that.

Mijas isn’t entered for either so the Spanish trainer who has a good group of horses this year sees him as an out and out miler.

Dorset is entered for the Grand Prix De Paris over 1m 4F

Which I way I highlighted future entries on the thread, because it showed a potential doubt as to today’s trip.

Good luck all Cool

top french racing and plenty of runners in both gns makes em even more interesting , luck in running or lack of of it often plays a part and that should be taken into consideration good luck all.
Report Delashay May 10, 2026 12:37 PM BST
Another thing is the line goes that Rayif missed the trial because he was sick, but was it a case of giving him the one crack over the trip in the Guineas today? (He has a good draw to help him in his favour.)

Like they planned to give Samanagan a go in our Guineas, with the Commonwealth there to fall back on.

Rayif has won on the straight course over 6F where the Jean Pratt is held.
Report Delashay May 10, 2026 12:43 PM BST
They have the Cut Away today Foyles, you not have any fancies @ double diggis?

Enjoy all Cool

I'm expecting Clifford to take Hankelow to the front and try to run the finish out of them. He'll go a lot further in time. Soft ground was a ?, but Burke says the reason hes gone there with him was to get the ground, so no worries there, plus it should make it more of a test. Decent EW bet imo. Good luck all.

Never mind not being able win races he shouldn't, can Colin Keane not win the races he's meant to win? that was a poor effort
Report Busyfool May 10, 2026 1:03 PM BST
dont see what he did wrong
Report cacique May 10, 2026 1:12 PM BST
filly mightn't be as good as they hoped, but i would have liked to see him winding her up a tad earlier, and getting over to the rail
Report differentdrum May 10, 2026 1:50 PM BST
Great cheerleading thread, but not quite so good if anyone was looking for a selection. Zero so far, and we are already halfway through the card.
Report impossible123 May 10, 2026 2:01 PM BST
Can one have Pari-mutuel prices at Longchamp? The prices here are puny and bookie friendly.
Report freddiewilliams May 10, 2026 2:18 PM BST
100 percent book and the prices are puny.....Jesus h Christ
Report FOYLESWAR May 10, 2026 2:42 PM BST
puerto rico very short   ,may still win but no value imo ,plenty with chances in what should be a very strongly run race ,rayif ,nightime ,hankelow have decent form but i like a couple at bigger prices and fabres segall won a group3 at this track last time over 9f suggesting he wants further than the mile today that may be true but if they go hammer and tongs his proven stamina could see him running on when others have had enough, looks  to be progressing  and a big price 50/1 firms hopefully bigger on here grandin keeps the ride ,
selection segall 50/1 ew 4 places should be bigger on here .also stablemate and 1st string komorabi is progrssing well and stuck on gamely to beat nightime on season debut 3 wins from 5 looked to have a bit more up his sleeve that day and 16ish on here or bigger appeals ew .good luck all think we might need it .

Graffard strikes again !
Report Delashay May 10, 2026 2:57 PM BST
Well all the talk about the ground being a negative! Even Laurent jumped ship! Laugh
Report Angela Rebecchi May 10, 2026 2:58 PM BST
Big late money for it on the PMU, jumped in 2 points so someone was confident the ground was going to be okay !
Report JohanntheGoatHurdler May 10, 2026 3:01 PM BST
Some trainer this Graffard...rather brusque and curt in manner...but knows how to handle a thoroughbred.
And with the best French rider in the saddle, a lethal combination to boot.

They were praising the jock on Segall for staying on but he was at fault moving up as he did, terrible bit of riding, coulda also brought down his stable mate.

Bet Buick wants to move to France! Laugh

Top trainer. No funny game with Monsieur Graffard. Does Princess Zahra have any horses with AOB?
Report JohanntheGoatHurdler May 10, 2026 3:19 PM BST
I didn't think AOB trained for anyone except "The Firm" until I saw the decs for the next at Leopardstown...
Report impossible123 May 10, 2026 3:24 PM BST
Has AOB ever made an average horse or a donkey run faster? He has a stable stuffed with pedigrees, but no Frankel.
Report impossible123 May 10, 2026 3:31 PM BST
I hope M Graffard and Princess Zahra get a win double.
Report JohanntheGoatHurdler May 10, 2026 3:31 PM BST
No stats to back this up...but AOB definitely seems more experimental in terms of the variety of headgear he employs these days.

Joseph going to bed with no tea tonight after just pipping his old man there.
Report JohanntheGoatHurdler May 10, 2026 3:54 PM BST
That was a bit of a family affair, the 3.40 at Leopardstown.
Do no other Irish trainers have any decent middle distance flat horses?
Been impressed by Dylan Browne McMonagle in recent days...
