SE between winner and second as they came together a couple of times down the straight. Not sure if it will keep it or not. Minimal contact

Same every year, too many runners for a track that wide.

Surprised there wasnt a stewards, the winner gave the second a nudge about 50 yds before the line and over there that sometimes constitutes enough for a DQ at the minor tracks.

It didn't affect the finish position of the bumped horse.

Only if the sufferer loses a place as a result.

That said, I've only seen one stewards in many years in the Derby itself. Think they have a greater tolerance threshold given the amount of horses on a relatively tight track.

The second also caused interference before the winner came upsides, I suppose the last thing they want is controversy in their biggest race of the season. I thought I saw around 50 before it went off the screen and Timeform dont record Exchange in running for the USA from what I can see.

I laid it at 58.77. Highest was about 70.

Irad Ortiz on the runner up didn't seem to be too bothered about any interference as he was congratulating the winner straight after the finish.
Mind you the winning jockey happens to be his younger brother, not a bad result for the Ortiz family Grin
