Trying a new tactic today. Normally for me whenever one of his looks rock solid on form it gets beat. Today I'm going to follow the market indicators. Poseidon's Warrior has been drifting despite having a run and easily having the best form (10lb in). WHY?

RP ratings, I'm not sure how reliable they are tbf. My Love Is King has been backed today, having seemly been unfancied in a novice last time.

I always imagined that if you trained for Sheikh Mo, you'd want to be having as many winners as possible, and betting coups would be a lesser consideration.

Not done a lot for the Solario Stakes (Group 3) or Royal Lodge Stakes (Group 2) form Humidity beaten in both of those races too. |

His form is pants at the moment, 1 winner from last 18 runners. All his runners drifted yesterday especially Posiedon and Wise Approach at Ascot. Both morning favourites, both finished out of first 3.

Plenty of money laying it in clumps of £800/1000 from early. |

thx for info, I hadn't realised his recent form was so pants. For some reason I take trainer form into account in NH races, but clearly don't pay enough attention to recent top flat trainers.

That said, Appleby was 10 from 36 (28 per cent strike-rate) last April before winning the Guineas, and 9 from 28 (32 per cent) the April before before also winning the Guineas, so this April's figures of 10 from 35 (29 per cent) suggests bigger picture the horses are pretty much where they have been the last two years, even if the two weeks isn't as encouraging. Big drift on Kings Trail today , but hard to know if that’s after the interview with Trapman |
