He has to give weight?

Prague has been beaten similar distances by Zeus twice 4. +L is he the world beater that the form figures and reputation make out?

Field of Gold was beating a bunch of crud amongst his age group.

Good question Clarky, FOG is only two pounds better off today and both of his defeats have come in his only two races against older horses. Zeus Olympios for me though. Good luck.

Zeus looked a machine last season. He didn't look hard pressed to win any of his races and he made the very useful reopposing Opera Ballo look quite average. I'm sure he has bigger targets later in the season but I'd be a bit disappointed if he doesn't remain unbeaten

Very considerate ride from Keane, obviously just a prep.

They say Zeuss is a looker, looks skinny and don’t take my eye, bias from adell

Field of Gold is no world beater prep or no prep

I would expect FOG and ZO to improve a bit for their races so it will be a very interesting to see the first 3 in the same race next time out

If Zeus Olympios wasn't 4/4 you might well be questioning the attitude. Don't know whether it was the change of jock, but the horse was fighting Moore in the early stages - as did King Of Cities earlier - and then from what looked a good position, the head was very high, and it looked as if he didn't want to go through with it. No reason why you wouldn't have an unbeaten horse ready, and the ground should have suited.
As for the original question, Cicero's Gift went off 100/1 at Ascot, people didn't believe the sudden improvement from a 5yo. Never at the races today. |
