William Hill UK and 888 owner Evoke has today confirmed that it is in talks with Greek lottery and gaming firm Bally's Intralot regarding a takeover proposal at 50 pence-per-share, valuing the betting group at £225.3m.  Does this mean William Hill radio  is in doubt? Presumably new owners will question its value and cost? Might be a few nervy days ahead for the gravy train pundits and presenters?

Yes, it might mean that.

It was only a few years ago that Evoke paid £2 billion for William Hill. Have they poured 90 per cent of their money down the drain or have they split off the good bit and are selling the rest?

Not to mention they are closing 200 shops.
