In terms of tactics - and that's a pretty big element - they couldn't be further apart.

Why are some trainers rude and frosty with Chapman? I thought Williams was, and so did Owen (owner) today. Chapman is only doing his job.

He isn't though is he? It's me me me, always has been, and always will be. Perhaps some people are not prepared to play along with his act? It shouldn't be too much of a surprise. So often the interviews get clouded by his attempts to be funny. He never is. There are a lot of really poor presenters, but contrast his efforts with Katherine Ford who just does a very professional job.

I think a clever part of Chapman's shtick is the the fact that he often uses the (in his case) deceptive art of self deprecation as a tool to endear him to the audience.

He seems to get more trainers/jockeys to open up to him than other presenters...he must be doing something right.

Chapman was banging on about Bowen being the greatest ever jump jockey, or similar, not long ago - full of shouight IMO.

I compare Skelton to pipe who was the greatest for the punter if you knew how he operates, he was the first to use having 2 or more runners in races and winning with the outsider, Skelton is learning and reminds me of pipe with all these winners, he is a punters savior, mullings and O’Brien got there idea from pipe multiple runners and still use it today, and it’s still profitable backing them if you know you know, pipe was the master but others followed his lead but Skelton is just driven like the master was, plenty profit there for punters skeletons the new kid on the block who’s taking overhead

The only punters Skelton is good for is his own inner circle. The average punter is just guessing how the horses will be ridden and how much effort will be made. With Pipe you knew most of time what would happen - point and fire. If you think Skelton is a cash machine how about putting a few up, and let's see what happens?

Not neurosurgery is it, they target the festivals and big pots. The modest ones they get their marks down as fast as possible, before the application of cash. You're comparing completely different eras of gambling too, who knows how MP would have operated as it is these days.

Impossible you sid that the thread on the women in racing was inappropriate, did you not see how Trapmn was with Rebecca Menzies yesterday?

He was complimenting her on her looks over and over and even told her to her shades off for the interview after her horse had won the first!

Non of that was appropriate, he need not mention how she looks at all or to compliment her again and again.

I’d like to see him say to AOB will you take those sunnies off! Cool

He was highly annoying yesterday and making lots a stupid remarks, more than usual.

Delbert would be told to F/O if he tried his nonsense on Course (not that the unemployable loon would ever get the chance).
Chapman generally does a good job

That Amelia Earhart did look really impressive through the final furlong, I thought she'd be shorter than 7/2, don't know what she beat though

I don’t find him funny he’s a typical Public School Boy and commenting on her looks was off San. I agree that it needs liven up a bit, all too stiff. The Derbyshire guy creeps me out and he bores me, but we can’t all like the same.

She was Duffy but the race was also run to suit her, both trials complete opposites in terms of pace.

Suggesting the Appleby stats - 9 beaten favourites in the last two weeks - don't matter. Just trying to be contrary and at the same time keep in with ever so boring Appleby. Doesn't actually give two hoots about punters. Given his record I don't know why Bin Suroor continues to just get the Godolphin scraps.
