Tripe is awful filth and I have only seen it or had the pleasure of it's aroma when my Grandad walked me to the butchers to purchase some.

Loved the walk there. Hated the walk back. The flippin stink Crazy

Politicians who think the public will play by the rules. We now have a culture when most  citizens will use a loophole to cheat the system.

The loss of front gardens, the loss of a manufacturing industry, the loss of the "local" pub, the loss of common sense, the state of our roads and rivers, the reliance on the US as an ally, proper snow, crisp packets not being filled to the top.

My late father used to love Tripe and onions, also Pigs trotters remember seeing them boiling in a large pan with the toe nails poking out.Grin These were probably considered a luxury back in the day, all depends how poor you were i guess.

I was brought up on a farm after the WW2 and part of our diet was always from the wild. Wild mushrooms, blackberries, Pigeons, Rabbits etc. as well as our own produce such as milk, butter, cheese and eggs. Water from a spring and heat from wood fires. Very few people under 60yo share my view that self reliance should be the norm and help from Government of any sort should be the exception.
