How much will you be place laying him for then Acey?
By:
Paddy Power make Convergent their 2-1 favourite, with Al Aasy a 3-1 shot, Pride of Arras 9-2, Eydon 5-1 and Constitution Hill 7-1.

Puts things into perspective, those that have been thinking he has the flat game at his mercy will be rubbing their hands.

By:
Constitution Hill 3/1 from 8/1 for Saturday's Surprise Stakes after sustained support this afternoon
By:
A day of reckoning if he shows, I think. I hope there's no twist in the race or prior.
By:
Those ahead of him in the betting are proven Group race performers so its no surprise to see them shorter in the market than CH. This is how the game works, proven over promising. Its up to the punter to decide if the 'promising' type can improve to the level of the 'proven' type.

WTF has JP got to do with it? |
By:
Best price now 9/2, PP shortened him up to 3/1 from 7/1!!

The cynic in me might suggest they put the 7s and 8s up with a view of cutting him to 3/1 very quickly.
They'll still take plenty at that price even though he's only about 50/50 to line up |

Your welcome.

By:
Billy's put him in @ 10s for about 1/2 Hr,according to oddschecker.
By:
A bookie inspired false gamble? Anyone backing him now does so at anti post rules and will lose their money if a non runner! He is far from being a 100% starter in the race at this time, the ground is far too fast.
Should CH get to the race then I'm sure he will go off bigger than his current price? |
By:
Wouldn't surprise me that there's such a lot of N/R money back offers about,
some forget about proper A/Post rules. |

A race full of fast ground horses. Fast ground forecasted! Very little chance CH will even run!
By:
acey - thats the wrong forecast!!
By:
He's the lowest rated of the 10 declared...a full stone off the top-rated trio and obviously has a lot to do so
perhaps the easier option in graduating to the grade (also a Group 3) would be the 10f Alleged Stakes the day after on forecast soft ground, as although the 12f at Newbury would be more suitable, yesterday's description of good to firm would still be a concern, despite the word 'firm' now having been dropped. |
By:
Varying degrees of rain forecast everyday from what I can see.
By:
Going stick 5.5 this morning.
No more watering until Thursday with an aim of the ground being 'good' for the start of the meeting on Friday. |
By:
Bit tougher trying to find a "Contender's Hurdle" when you get into the group stuff on the flat!!
By:
Farce
put away until October now |

Hendo's done a runner again. Constitution Hill will not run on Saturday. I hope no supporter of his has succumbed to his trainer's bookies talk.
