Good luck. I must admit I try and avoid races where the O'Brien's are mob handed. Here the family have all bar one runner who came from last to first under completely different conditions. I often get the impression that although something may appear obvious beforehand, they are not too bothered which one they end up winning with - another horse just gets moved along the conveyor belt.

The fav Pierre Bonnard was hopelessly undercooked. Nevertheless, AOB had a 1, 2 in the race. AOB at his best hoodwinking unsuspecting punters.

Typical O'Brien. Imagine if Pierre Bonnard was the only decent horse he had, but of course he has blue bloods everywhere so 'failures' like this don't matter a jot.

Benvenuto Cellini was nibbled over the last few days and prior to the dismal performance of Pierre Bonnard in The Ballysax earlier. I think his Ballysax performance was bad. Has he not trained on or hopelessly under-cooked?
I'd think it's the former myself. |

The form of his G1 doesn’t look good Impossible, in his favour only 3 horses will really stay the trip!
I’ve not seen the race but to be behind Italy when current Derby Fav? ![]() |

Taking Endorsement and A Boy Named Sioux as the yardstick even before the eclipse of Pierre Bonnard (PB) today Benvenuto Cellini has the edge over PB. Also, I noticed there was money for Benvenuto Cellini over the last few days prior to The Ballysax.
PB is no Auguste Rodin or City Of Troy. It's very unlikely PB will improve much from The Ballysax. |

Remember Impossible he was giving a big chunk of weight so don’t give up on your double. I’d be more concerned if he took after my part namesake Delacroix and went for the next trial there.

Yes, however, PB did not run up to the form with Endorsement (E). There is little between PB and Benvenuto Cellini (BC) on a line with (E); BC gave 5lbs and a 2.75l beating to E. I understand yesterday was the 1st run of PB, similarly his stablemates.
I think PB could be another The Lion In Winter. |

It’s a negative that he takes in the next trail at Leopardstown I’d say
