Correct, 5% have a valid point, 95% just utter pocket talking drivel, made seconds after the race is finished, based purely on financial loss.

Considering how few have actually sat on a horse their in depth knowledge is astonishing.

There are so many bad rides, and bad riders these days, It's no wonder.
The Greyhounds are more consistent to be involved in financially, no jockey's involved being the key reason..

Don't know about greyhounds, but you are correct EL11.

It's a bit sad that people feel the need to start up repeat threads like this. A quick look back will probably confirm the same suspects on all of them. Who are they trying to convince?

A gambler will blame anything and everything if their wager is unsuccessful.
anything bar themselves, but they'll find summat.
The jockey is a jinx, the trainer is a jinx, the cashier who took the betting slip off them is a jinx, the pen they picked up off the floor to write their bet out jinxed them, the co0nt in the corner of the shop who only bets in pennies but has shouted home the winner is a jinx.

...and on it goes.

One of the funniest episodes of upping the ante they were discussing this and Dineen was talking about a bloke in his local shop who was considered as being a curse and he said that you tried to keep out of his way but sometimes he'd catch you out and if he touched you on the shoulder you knew you were f***ed in the next raceLaugh

.... Every betting shop must have had its own resident jinx. Happy

They're often the same jinx that others are wary of.
He's the euphoria merchant waiting to pounce on a fellow punter who has given the game away by punching the air and informing the rest of the shop that he's had a score on that 10/1 winner.
In moves the aforementioned, slowly congratulating the successful punter at the payout window before sneakingly slipping in the pitiful request, " you couldn't lend me a couple of quid could you" ( no intention of ever paying it back)Excited

He'll do the donation in cold blood within minutes and then resume his scan around the shop waiting for the next victim.

Those that know him will maintain a Lee Van Cleef stare, even if their horse hoses up carrying their nifty on its back.

Nothing wrong with pocket talkers , 90% on here have a good valid reason when they post ! Just the knobs that weren`t on the horse and who had no interest in race never see it !
I backed I am maximus in national , Townend still gave it a poor ride imo ! The horse won the race , from a poor position ! It would have been a totally bad ride if he had lost ! The ground made up in the last furlong could never have been expected!

Just as many apologists for bnt or bad riding on here. That is much more heinous to apologise for some of the criminal actions that happen due to rides/trainers etc.
