If the Irish HRB ever wonder why no-one wants to bet on low grade irish hcp hurdles then this is a classic example. Only 2 horses EVER put into the race, as totally predicted by the market. The jockeys on the rest all sitting with handfuls petrified to ruin opening hcp marks. So how on earth does the IHRB accurately allocate opening hcp makes based on such races. Its great for connections but absolute rubbish for getting people to bet on irish horse racing. I haven't bet on irish horseracing in years for this very reason.
