Marvellous watch. A great spring over the fences, though the jockey on the eventual third seemed to spend a lot of the race trying to cross in his way.

Spartan Missile was a big, scopey horse. Also very different fences - it's embarrassing to call them by their original names. This horse isn't cut from the same cloth. I think he would likely struggle against proper opposition. How many of those behind had an upside?

There aint much Proper opposition around Drum
Spartan was a cracking horse was 4th in Gold Cup then 2nd in National ,If my memory serves me right Was no fallers in the race today 2 unseats ,as you say totally different Fences Used to be chaos in this race in the Past |

It's sad to watch. It's now a pitiful spectacle. The cheerleaders just waffle on about the perceived positives, mostly centering on the increased quality. Weren't the likes of L'Escargot and Crisp better than the horses turning up tomorrow?
