Don't know whether it was the quicker ground, although the times were very slow, but horse and jock looked like a fish out of water today. Never looked likely.

Interested to know what Pure Steel would have found. Jock hadn't asked him a question, but to be fair you could have thrown a blanket over the field at that stage.

He's On Fire bolted up - another Mullins back of the hand job. Presumably, he will attempt to follow up at Punchestown?

Yes, jumped very poorly (a surprise for a horse that's won a G1 at Sandown).

He's on Fire looked highly promising, and evey inch a chaser in the making.
