Would be curious enough to see how big they could go with no ceiling price (before the off)

In general I mean, what's the highest price a horse would get laid, pre off. Perhaps even 5000 is plausible.

On smart kets......u can lay 10,000 the outsider in the 730

any mention of this 1000 winner in the Racing Post today ?

any advertisement from betfair ?

Years ago the post use to have a small column dedicated to the highs and lows horses traded in running , advertisements showing the exchange prices versus the starting price , stuff like that .  they probably stopped all this when the sportsbook came in   Crazy

Betfair gave up advertising their USP. Commission too low for the masses. Model all wrong.

yes Swifty , it's very annoying. liquidity is only going one way now .

i joined back in 2008 , i only became aware of betfair after reading about people being able to bet in running in the racing post one day whilst sitting in a betting shop . if they don't advertise the exchange it's no surprise how things are now

yes harold, most punters are stupid, but even amongst the stupid, a small percentage would cotton on to better odds, it's all about making their money last longer. But no, the vast majority haven't a clue what the betfair exchange even is, and it's only been around 25 years.
