Today we went to scatter our dad and father in laws ashes at York racecourse, the team there were amazing, we had a few problems getting there on time but they supported us through this, can't thank them enough , we met Dad one day before every dante and ebor meeting at the ivy in York for brunch, after we scattered his ashes today we went there for lunch and toasted him, hope he was with us .

i can still remember him saying to me he was there when the brigadier ran and the queen turned up. god bless

Glad York were so accommodating Ronnie at this difficult time. You sound like you have some fantastic memories to cherish.....losing ur dad is incredibly tough...all the best DBTB.

Losing your Dad and Mum is really hard no matter what age you are as they would have helped you and guided you through all lives ups and downs.
Well done Ronnie putting their ashes where they probably spent some of their happiest times. Also well done to York racecourse for facilitating this request.
