A long time coming, way, way overdue. Over lauded unjustifiably. I'd have done that many moons ago. All the buffoon talks about The Lion In Winter for The Epsom Derby when the horse ran a stinker in The Dante. Then flopped sensationally at Epsom to prove 12f was 4f too far.
Yet, the gravy-trainers ie "professional" horseracing journos and pundits eulogising his prowess as a trainer incessantly. I think Coolmore was scared not to do the decent thing when O'Meary was rumoured to have been lined up as his replacement at Ballydoyle. Opportunity missed! |
