Watching replay there was a moment where it looked to be fading (maybe even out of places) late in race, but judging that to the 1000 level would be a crazy guess and gamble.

? If it was a manual 1000 lay (unlikely) it would've been placed 1 second back up the track so plus another 30 yards. And another 1 second for bet to show as matched so plus another 30 yards. So actual lay possibly placed 60 yards further back than at point of 'match' on the time stamp.
Hypothetical nonsense though as all automated nowadays. |
