dont usually play h,caps but nicholls one  issac des oboux caught my eye not a certain stayer but same for a lot of these ,a big price and not a really obvious chance but go back far enough and he has btn haiti colours giving that one 2 pound and had johnnywho behind him in a graded hurdle at ascot over hurdles .33s on here win and places could be worth some small change .

Rico, I  put up the Colin Keane bumper winner a week before the race at about 12s
I always back Venetia horses blind , cut back on stakes the last few months ,but still back all her runners

wqas going to start a thread earlier but been putting up a flatpack bed ffs like a jigsaw puzzle , anyway no way of knowing it would stay just looked as tho it had a bit of class and jonnywho  at the fes kinda confirmed it ,hoiles or whoever said it was being ridden after the 1st fence ,thought fook it make a cup of tea so a bit of a suprise its going well and pissed up .

wd Foyles. I had a small place only but nice price to win. Zummerzet beat Dorzet with the rest nowhere. Guttedf with Blueking doroux which I put in the tipping comp.

well done sage and thanks ,dont usually like going to the well too often but  am well ahead and a couple look too big later not saying they will win but id have em both shorter than what they are atm .will get some dough on and update nearer racetime good luck all.

why would anyone use a firm to bet big prices when way way bigger here?

used to use the firms and on here ,firms mainly to at least guarantee a price in the morning with bog thrown in , had a plenty where a horse got backed and the price on here gone by race time  thats why if i but of course if backing big priced pokes the value is on here 9 times out of 10.

the connections owners fergie ,ged mason dont usually keep hold of bad uns ,nicholls was quite positive about it but without giving much away in his betfair ambassador thing i was reading  between the lines  and came to the conclusion it was quietly fancied .

and as said earlier go back far enough and it had btn haiti colours and jonnywho among others.of course it needed luck and stamina was a question mark ,he also said he ran him too soon last time . at the price i nthought it nwas worth taking thew chaqnce as said i dont usually play handicaps as they are difficult at the best of times .

I thought it was an awful race, mainly because I had Alcedo in an ew multi and the jockey pulled it out of jumping the last fence when in 5th.

This is going to happen at Aintree, this year or next.

Distances were

8 lengths - a neck - 47 lengths and 12 lengths.

The other eleven were (note) pulled up, nothing fell.

You can be sure that jockeys for the Aintree GN will be under strict instructions not to overface their horses and - if the going is testing - the horses finishing may not even fill bookies' ew obligations. Result!

as said earlier i dont usually get involved in handicaps but on looking back on here the handfull  of big money big field ones i have played in  over years the results are not too bad ,its an avenue that may be worth pursuing an a .  couple coming up ......the national and lincoln . any opinions ?

the national can throw up freak results but with the easier fences it is becoming more of a stamina test. There are few horses that stay 3 miles in a true run hurdle and even fewer who stay 3.25 miles in the Gold Cup because there is no let up but in the Grand National the pace is more conservative. The Lincoln will be won by which ever is fittest of those with a chance. I will still have most of my bets on maidens and novices where there are rarely more than 3 that have any chance.
