Might have been a bit too clever hiding true ability and now in danger of not getting a run. I think Charles has till 1pm tomorrow to talk another trainer into dropping out with a stone bruise
The one I was taking a little passing interest in for this was Genealogy, former Ballydoyle inmate, who might have had excuses for 2 seemingly poor runs on the Flat last year, but still ended his time for O'Brien rated 94.
Three runs for Denis Hogan over hurdles, and the middle one at Ascot when finishing second to Winston Junior, when set a lot to do but made good late headway into second place, albeit no match for the winner, suggested he still retains a chunk of ability.
However, if this was the target, and was 25-1 in one ante-post list I saw, he was never getting in with a mark of 117.
Oh well, not to worry, maybe Mr Hogan will find a claimer at Dundalk for him to run in.
