To be reasonable (unlike me) they did touch on this freedom of request type thing that showed inside the government they knew the tax hikes wouldn't raise more tax. I could have told them that for free. It is an example of what is happening, engineering irreversible societal change under the cloak of doing something that is sold as well intended.
