Huge respect for the guy, what a burden to have to carry with you every day, with a bit of luck that killer will get a bit of the Huntley treatment in the big house.

And John is, and always has been, a fantastic commentator.

Hard to read without feeling incredibly sad for him. Glad to hear he’s trying his best to get on with life. Easier said than done, no doubt. Good luck to him and his daughter.
Let’s hope Clifford gets the Huntley treatment but just pulls through each time! |

Even before the tragic events John {and his daughter } suffered he was and still is the best commentator covering horse racing.
Always seemed well researched and we all know what we are going to get with John behind the mic a good clear understanding covering all the horses without all that 'yeah ha or 'boom boom' rubbish. |

An inspiration and not only a horse commentator as said on my thread about the Winter Olympics, was great doing the slide, skeleton etc….
How he must have felt seeing those youngsters living out their dreams, I don’t know. Best of John. |
