Maybe he's finally landed a role and he's been away on rehearsals/filming.

It's the finance guy in me, lol. I cannot possibly justify getting SM in to preview, then he goes to the green room for live racing, only to come back to do the round up. In the meantime they pay Nevo for the sum total of 5 minutes of waffle and filling. Can anybody explain what usp Nevo brings to the party on the bigger days? Openly confesses to only being interested in big field handicaps, and usually claims to get the 9+ place EW offers that anyone even half useful cannot get! We need some one to interpret the markets (if that's poss) pre race, we need educated to only bet on the value ect.

Although the broadcaster is in the books pocket, from comms actually making excuses ir for nons to broadcasters not interested in the punters it's easy to switch off TV.

Saw him at Lingfield once so I 'stalked' him out of curiosity as he headed to the bookmakers - he backed 3 horses in a race, all something like £30EW, £40EW, £60EW......seemed to have the money then.
Reminds me of some other guy who tipped greyhounds on the TV (think he was called Gary Wiltshire), lump on this trap 1 @ 6-4 blah blah blah.
Absolutely usless, never seemed to pick any winners.

rtv does have informative people.

the operate/promote themselves as a pseudo charity and persistently claim 'profits got to racing'. well they could keep Mellish in the studio for the live racing instead of in the green room and that's another £1K each day to racing!

Unless all these experts and people they have on work for nothing I can't see much going back into racing, unless they count themselves part of that.

Technically it's 'profit' so would be calculated after costs, including the 'talent'. But if you are effectively not for profit, then you don't mind wasting money. I did have a dig around into rmg's published finances at one point, but it (the model) is very opaque. As is the norm with nfp orgs.

Still learning how to turn his mic back on. Will get there eventually, I'm sure
