My personal pet hate is people using 'you know' when explaining something - if we knew why would we need the explanation!

The word 'super' crops up a lot nowadays.

These kind of speech "impediments" are a normal part of everyday speech and it brings into focus just how good the professional TV presenters are. You may not always like what they say but there are very few yes/nos, erms, you knows etc. from those trained to speak in public.
