'He got a great first ride around' according to the clown.

It wasn't pretty in the straight. Probably got the horse beaten, but I suppose we all have to learn somewhere.

At first glance I thought it was Nico.

Probably not a good idea to put him up on a favourite first ride.

Got unbalanced but was simply outstayed.
Backing an Amateur having their first ride has rarely been the pathway to riches

I don't often defend jockeys if they have a poor ride, but anyone moaning after backing someone riding first time in a jumps race really needs to take a look at themselves for choosing that bet - what do you expect AP McCoy? Laugh

A reasonable comment,stu.
It makes you wonder if some actually look to see who is riding

Indeed irons, but also seems people forget there's also a lay button against a short priced one like this too.

The person in question could possibly be responsible for CH hitting the deck imv……best to avoid Cheltenham unless they get a top horseman and watch it win on the bit…..

He did admit to almost decking it once before remember…..

Nicolai "Nico" W. Chastel de Boinville (born 14 August 1989)[1] is an English horse racing jockey who competes in National Hunt racing.[2] De Boinville has ridden more Grade One winners than any British jumps jockey currently active.[3]

Classified was nearly top class...a very good horse....well touted for the national if memory is still in place.

As I recall, he ran 3rd, 4th and 5th in the GN. Sadly I had to sell him b4 then. Ran 2nd to The Brockshee in the Arkle. When he won 1st time out at Newbury he was, once again, 33/1.  Steve S-E's dad had so much on he bought a new car (I spoke to SSE many years later and he confirmed it). Sadly I was impecunious at the time studying, yet again, to improve myself so had buttons on. Still, the qualifications worked out in the end! But............nowadays...you own a horse and it wins it's first 2 races @ 33/1! Ended up being a great 2m at Sandown etc.  But a great horse. Wish my present purchases were as good.
