1. Henderson getting his excuses in early and calling it horrible ground.
2. New untried distance 2m 5f around a tough course. Does he have the stamina?
3. Had a hard race in the Clarence House last time and is now 10 years old.
4. In the Clarence House he won but the 2/5F fell and it was an incredible power packed ride by James Bowen that got him home.
5. Pic D'orhy loves Ascot and Nicholls is bullish
6. Huge massive downgrade on jockey today. James Bowen unfortunately replaced by Henderson's mate - glorified amateur Nico who will give up if it doesn't look like a steering job.

Should be 5/6F Even money IMO. This is one to watch.

1 Nico.
2 Nico.

The obsessive Newmarket Sausage having an early dig at Nico.
I thought you were "out of here".
Massive odds on for his usual aftertime claim regarding a bet on the race

Your evens chance is now 3.55
How much is your opinion worth to you?.

Cobden & point to point approach the last……look away !

His ride on the hot pot last weekend which should have been a good easy outing was made to look difficult….

Let them get their head and enjoy the race jumping with confidence…..the words of the greatest jockey…..

He did the opposite…..

Its amazes me how many obtuse people are on this forum. Obviously we know about forum bully 'Uptheirons'.... This is why I give up. This is just an opinion piece which is up for discussion.
Why Jerseyboy cant you articulate a response by saying 'I disagree because.....' Instead you post the pathetic 'you must be a large layer then'.... Can't you read English? What do you think I meant by 'THIS IS ONE TO WATCH'.... Idiot.

Surely more likely to have an easy race in mind (unless cantering with head in chest 2 out) with Cheltenham on the horizon ....

My humble opinion is Nico has always looked amateur and will finish looking amateur….

Lady rider rides for her mum is of same mould they never improve……

Formoftherace - exactly! I can't see this being a steering job and if it is Cobden & Point to Point together over the last then you've done your dosh at 4/7F.
As I've stated 5 other reasons to be cautious besides the trade mark powder puff finish from point to point.
This forum used to have a lot of interesting discussions. Now so many people just look to make personal attacks. Really pathetic.... Forum bully 'Uptheirons' comment in 5,4,3,2,1 to prove my point.

AFTERTHOUGHT... Or try to get your grade 1s in when you can because they know he probably isn't going to win at Cheltenham.

Some riders get lucky with certain trainers and owners (favourite boys)….

Moore admits that he got lucky…..

Buick and J Doyle also ….

Then there is Havlin blue eyed boy with  Gosden and certain owners…..2 decades to win a group 1 in one of the best yards in Newmarket….

Have you actually backed your opinion,Newmarket?
It is a simple enough question.
The opinion of the utterly hapless loser Aceform is of no consequence.

I would steer clear of any today that are aiming at Cheltenham, Jonbon, Alexi, Myretown (also for various other reasons). Jonbon has been a great horse, paid it's way .... I think Cheltenham is more their prize than another Grade 1.

Clarky9 - horrible was Hendersons word. He might be referring to it being really tacky rather than heavy.

Didn't see it beating Il et temps but Jonbon jumped the fences - it happened at Ascot so can certainly happen at Chelts ..... Looked beat on the turn for home last time but stayed on, looked to me it may have won even without It et temps falling, they were all tired......soft ground today and 4 weeks before Cheltenham ..... not for me. I would rather lay an odds on shot than back it.

Afterthought - A great ride from James Bowen got him home combined with the 2/5F falling and one of the others pulling up. You can see from my reasons above that this is one to watch. If Jonbon does win today I'd be surprised if its an easy victory.

Newmarket Spurs   If you cannot answer a simple question, then what are you doing on here ?? Can you just answer the question or is that beyond your capability. ?  Is that plain enough English for you Einstein I do not think so.  Go get a life dumbo..

I wouldn't run Jonbon at Cheltenham.
Even Hendo has admitted it's not Jonbon's favourite track.
Freshen him up and save him for Aintree.

Let's hope Jonbon has better luck than Altior when attempting a distance further than 2m for the 1st time. I think and hope he'll win otherwise....

always interesting to see what firms want to take it on

only Skybet (Evens) appear to have stuck their neck out today on JonBon

B365 have a boost on PicDory in the race
and Alexei at Evens at Wincanton

Jerseyboy - you really are a class a moron. I wrote 'THIS IS ONE TO WATCH' so obviously I'm not getting involved it either way. Lost for words. Another who sits in his basement spending all day jumping at the opportunity to bully & attack people because your life is so empty and vacant.
You're the big man - well done.

Some of you know I thought 5-2 worth a shot on Pic D'orhy and that Jonbon was to short at 1-2 even 4-9, well worryingly 365 Have pushed him out to 11/4 with a bet boost, I though Denise might want to take Jonbon on but she is keeping well clear so seemingly confidence in Jonbon is strong

It does appear that the one Denise wants to take on today is Alexei, she is offering the days SUPER BOOST and offering evens, obviously only to 365 customers though

AFTERTHOUGHT - I agree. It really is one of those races where anything that happens to Jonbon wouldn't be a major surprise. He is now in to 4/9F so maybe it will be a steering job but at those odds I'm leaving well alone. He won't be winning at Cheltenham IMO so this is a good move in what is the twilight of his career.

formoftherace.... I went back and watched Jonbon win the Clarence House and that was a terrific ride from James Bowen. Like his brother he never gave up and managed to get him home in tough conditions..... Putting aside what we both think about 'point to point' I think he is very unlucky not to keep the ride. Surprised JP didn't step in.
