tbf Townend did something similar in a drf g1 only the other day. But not as exaggerated or seemingly beneficial.

The all-weather canter should be railed off otherwise, if the other jockeys have any sense (doubtful I know) future races on that ground will be run on it instead of the potato field. Mickey mouse Irish racing at its best.
